There is zero cinematic sophistication to any of these generative AI videos. Maybe the stock footage industry (like Getty) is disrupted. Even then, the copyright issue is a minefield. Maybe this lowers the cost to produce establishing shots (e.g. a rainwashed L.A. street at midnight with the Hollywood sign in the bg), especially for low budget indie films. Maybe AI will enable more content that is direct-to-streaming that studios can work into their budgets.

Anything beyond limited use for AI in movies requires a human element to drive the artistry behind great movies. Great editing is essential to great filmmaking, and until AI can edit like Thelma Schoonmaker on its own, I'm not convinced how disruptive the tech actually is.
