OK. I reread the article and it looks like they are going to be explicitly using company data which will likely require a new TOS. I’ll be interested if and how ‘reasoning’ is provided to the person getting the work, the leader, and teammates. This is still a no go for me.

AIs just aren't smart enough yet to be deployed like this. There is no way people are inputting enough information into the "work graph" for the AIs to generate anything other then surface level insight.

There’s always that one person at every company that passively aggressively assigns something to you that you probably shouldn’t be doing. They don’t ask you, they don’t talk to you about it, they don’t even give you a heads up. It’s just there, suddenly.

I’m not talking about the person you report to either. We all know the one.

Are we really going to normalize this kind of behavior because it’s AI doing the assigning?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Asana’s TOS doesn’t give them access to the underlying data but does give them access to user behaviors on things like status changes (leveraging sort order, probably), assignment data (time, completion, roles). And they are likely using some of that human behavior to inform what is likely a LLM prioritizing and spitting back some JSON.

BUT….all that passive aggressiveness is baked into said data. I’m getting unreasonable annoyed just thinking about this and I’ve only ever used Atlassian products.
