Zoom said that next year it will release a tool that displays a photorealistic avatar for video calls. 🍿 With election related deepfakes and most recently, fake generative #Artificial Intelligence  images of destruction and human suffering flooded the web in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, seems like this problem will get worse before it HOPEFULLY becomes better (regulation?).

Zoom plans to introduce a feature to let people effectively clone themselves digitally. There's concerns that this could be misused.
