China regulates every citizen. All AI must uphold party values. Truly an inspiring standard to emulate. 🤪

“Providers of generative AI are required to adopt measures to filter any inappropriate content created by generative AI, and to optimize algorithms to prevent the generation of such content within 3 months.” - aka censoring

AI risks are real, but regulating AI itself would be like regulating free speech and thought. Its about ownership, controls, and provenance of the underlying digital infrastructure and data.

Opportunity for #Crypto ?  Blockchains establish provenance, and AI generated or not is obvious 🤞?

Not my preferred policy but eg “the right to know when they are being supplied with AI-generated content” actually sounds pretty good to me.

Also sounds upside down to me, though. Contents, and ownership of it, should be protected and secured in the first place.

I’m Sam, I’m the curriculum director at Gregorio Perfecto High School in Manila, Philippines. I’ve been an educator and administrator for just over 25 years.
