OpenAI has disbanded its "superalignment" team for managing long-term AI risks following the resignations of its two leaders. The Good guy act turned out to be BS.  OpenAI reportedly asked investors to avoid backing rival startups like xAI and Anthropic. I’m old enough to remember when its nonprofit board said the company would shut down and go help a rival if the rival got closer to building a superintelligence
