Republican attitudes toward #Artificial Intelligence safety seem to be shifting (or at least opening up), especially when it comes to protecting children from chatbot harms. The FTC’s investigation is a major indicator: we could see new rules or oversight in the near term. But how strict those will be — and how they’ll affect the AI industry — is still unclear.
