Here are some clips from new research by NVIDIA. Still far from Hollywood quality, but they're damn impressive.

Just a couple months ago, text-to-video would have produced completely incoherent, wild looking videos (that Will Smith eating spaghetti video, anyone?)

Now, look at the waves and clouds move. Smooth, consistent.

Where will this be in another 6 months? 1-2 years?

Nvidia release a paper a while back that generates 3D models from text or a single image.  

Last week they showed off some of at GDC.  It’s called Picasso.

It's neat, but mostly lowpoly and simple stuff. With how fast advancements are coming, won’t be long before it can produce more advanced stuff, but even then, it still needs to be optimized with proper methods.
